Zero. Live in a senior community. No lights on and has posted signs for trespassing. They stay away because we will call the cops.

We have lived in our current location for 28 years and the only ones we have had was my grand kids. May be due to the fact our drive way is 1/4 mile long.

They allowed normal, door to door trick or treating in my town. Many parents wanted something normal for the kids to experience during the pandemic. I have two bags of candy to get rid of; not one trick or treater in the neighborhood.

Our daughter lives down the street, so we gave our candy for her to hand out.
We stayed home, dimmed the lights and watched Netflix.

We were at my daughter and her family and there were a many that visited their house while we watched over the house while they were out. Their three children came back with lots of candy

Nope. Out where we live, we never have any anymore, so I get all the candy to myself.

We began helping with Trunk or Treat a few years ago. Last year we had 350, last night around 200.

Not like it was when I was a kid in the late 50’s. We were out for hours..home to empty the bag...and out again. I remember we use to walk the avenue and stop at all the bars. Those drunks were generous. Our parents were home. When we had kids we walked with them in the 70’s and 80’s.
Now if I had little ones, like grandkids, I would be cautious with any candy they got from anyone.
How did we get that way? It is sad.

My son and I were discussing just that last night. He's 48 and remembers first going out with his Dad in a homemade costume and then as he approached 10 he was allowed to go out in the spooky night with the neighbors kid's next door. We both lamented that the kids today have really been cheated of a special night that we had all looked forward to when we were kids. Going around in store-bought costumes, at 2:30 in the afternoon to mall stores, just isn't the same. It is very rare to see kids outside today. One wonders how or if they get their exercise and sunshine? We hated going home when the street lights went on and dearly treasured Day Light Saving Time.
