My wife and I flew to Pennsylvania last week for a wedding. Fall is beautiful in that area and I was looking forward to getting lots of color shots this trip. Unfortunately on our first day there shortly after I took this photo my wife fell and as we found out later, broke her knee. Flying home was not fun but she is recovering and I did get a few nice photos.
It was a rainy, foggy and overcast morning so I replaced the background in PS then took it to Topaz Studio for a little impressionistic touch and to help enhance the glow. I like the soft look.
The pp works for me, very attractive colors and mood.
So sorry to hear about Amy. You had a hurricane-shortened family vacation, as I recall. A very tough year for you and many others. Hugs!
Send Amy my very best "Get Well" wishes.
I would tone down the bright areas just a bit - perhaps apply a vignette - the radiance would naturally be reduced towards the outside, so this looks too contrived. Great colours and original capture. Please stay well and keep on sharing.
Oh, nice! Some very good work on selections and a good choice of replacement Keni. Colours work well for me - good contrast between tree and sky and the softness works nicely.
Very good Keni, I like the way the sun is behind the tree showing off the colours more.. Very warm atmosphere.. Hope Amy gets better soon..
Wonderful shot, I have missed your posts. Best to Amy for a swift recovery.
Jack
a bright picture that makes me happy to see.
I like the glow too Keni, wonderful colors. Bev

Keni, I hate to be the contrarian here, but after repeatedly looking at the image I still feel that the intense blue of the sky and the top of the tree detract from the picture.
If I cover up the upper half, I see a wonderful image. Have you considered cropping out the top and making the bottom half your final image?
