All backed with assets. Banks do not issue loans on that scale unsecured, nor if they feel the debt load is unsustainable.

You right the banks won’t if they feel the debt is unsustainable, that’s why all american bank turned him down flat and he had to go overseas .

The trouble is trump lied in his loan applications about the value of those assets- such as claiming a value but not mentioning the existing debt in the asset.

American banks did their due diligence and turned him down.

Deutsche Bank did not.
Why because his son in laws family , a large DB investiture intervened on his behalf.

You're repeating misinformation the Dems distributed to their army of Useful Idiots.

Deutsche Bank has branches all over the US and is very active in Commercial & Investment banking in the USA, worldwide infact. The fantasy that a bank as old and of the size it is, not doing their due diligence on a loan of any size is utterly ridiculous.

And as for Trump misrepresenting value of his assets to get a loan, again, ridiculous! Banks use their own resources to determine valuation of assets, and loans the size Trump has typically require secondary corroborated financial info from Moody, Standard & Poor , and/or Fitch Rating(s) just to file the application.

1, having branches in America does not make man America bank
Any more than manufacturing Honda in America makes the an America company

2. Name a bank that has loaned trump money lately.

3. Yes banks use their own resources to value collateral - or at least they are suppose to.

Trump once called himself the king of credit

https://news.yahoo.com/trump-maneuvered-way-trouble-chicago-121415189.html

Excerpt

Although Deutsche Bank had vowed to do no more business with Trump, his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, introduced him to his personal wealth manager at the bank, Rosemary Vrablic. Vrablic, with the support of her superiors, soon agreed to restart the relationship with Trump.

In 2012, Vrablic’s division made two loans secured by the Chicago skyscraper: one for nearly $54 million, another for $45 million, according to loan documents filed with the Cook County Recorder of Deeds. Trump agreed to personally guarantee the new loans, according to several people familiar with the deal.

The funds were used to immediately repay the $99 million that Trump still owed on the original Chicago loan, the people said. In other words, one wing of Deutsche Bank was providing Trump the money to repay another division of the same bank.

DEUTSCHE BANK bought several US banks so they are, in their US operations, a US bank and subject to all US laws and regulations. As such, it is listed on both the New York and Frankfurt stock exchanges. The

AMERICAN HONDA MANUFACTURING COMPANY INCORPORATED is most certainly an American company, is headquartered in Torrance, California .
