Very early morning in Wensleydale in The Yorkshire Dales National Park.
The building in the foreground is a traditional stone barn. In The Dales they are known as Cowses (cow houses)
A bit dark on my screen but looks gorgeous.
Hi GoofyNewfie Thank you for your response. I could have made the image brighter but kept the highlights down in keeping with the early hour. It's a bit odd but the image shows a little brighter on my profiled screens on my laptop, editing suite and in print but looks a bit darker on this upload to UHH.
Yes, the file uploaded is brighter when viewed on my profiled screen than the image is showing on UHH on the same screen. The image is a lot more dynamic before the upload.
The Dales are a special place to visit.
Looks like a Constable. Beautiful rendering. Pity you did not share the download version. Please stay well and keep up the great work. BTW, you should make sure to save in the sRGB colour gamut for UHH and most web images.
I do like the lighting and exposure in this photograph.
Is this near The George Inn in Hubberholme?

Ourspolair Thank you for your kind response. I'm with you on using sRGB for screen displays. What is odd is I have emailed the same file to a friend and the UHH display is also different on his screen.
rmalarz Thank you also for your response. I will have to check the location as my wife and I have been taking a lot of different trips out in The Dales & I can picture the scene and where I parked but can't remember just where I was. I haven't yet visited it but there is a 12th. century church in Hubberholme that I'm told is a bit special.

Very nice clapperboard, I'm not too far from Wensleydale. A shot like that would look better in the download option.

Everything is 'near' here in American terms. About 15 miles if I recall correctly.
Really nice! I, too, would prefer it a bit brighter.
Great picture! When i think of the Yorkshire Dales, I think of James Harriet, the vet. I have all of his books and would loved to have met him. Thanks!
A well-expressed picture. Captures the moment.
jaymatt Thank you for your kind comment.
I have now uploaded a black & white conversion and the file that should show the brighter version.
Big THANK YOU to all for taking the time to comment and for being so kind.
I like the brighter version a lot. Good work.
