Yesterday I saw an invite to view a B&H online training video. It piqued my curiosity so I set aside my time to view thinking I might pick up a pointer or two. Much to my chagrin the discussion veered away from being instructional to being political!!! Are you kidding me? Come on man! I was so turned off by it (not that I disagreed or agreed with said position) just because it got political. B&H I am so shocked that you got away from pure instruction and rather than remain neutral got into the politics. I have a gut feeling you just lost some clients. I am a loyal customer but I am just throwing it out there. Let the mud slinging begin. My shoulders are big.

Did you possibly get re-directed at some point without knowing it? I know that is unlikely but the incident sounds like such poor business sense that I am really surprised that a company such as B&H would do it. You don't mix business with politics because you will always end up offending some portion of your customer base. Regardless, I agree with you: keep politics out of it.

I agree. In my experience, B&H has always been totally professional in every respect. If this happened, it is not the norm, or consistent with their policies.

Was it in this section: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/videos/photography

Which video?

I am gratified to see that some here are questioning whether the video was in fact posted on the B&H site, and what it said.

I've seen on my local school district website where they post the feed from the school Instagram channel that shows every post that uses the district hashtag. So people wanting to send a political message just add that hashtag over and over so the feed gets filled with political messages. Many ways to hijack.

Not hacked. It was a direct email and, from their website and physical staged site using remote cam technology.

I will try and find link again. The narratives just keeping getting pushed down everyone’s throat. Words are powerful and can either heal or hurt.

I believe in sticks and stones limerick but the herd mentality and lemmings blows my mind.

Well, let's see the evidence then or at least describe in more detail what the offensive behavior was. I get their emails too, haven't seen anything suspicious so far, unless the missing rf 100-500 qualifies.

Let me clarify something. I have no specific beef with B&H in regards to their sales, service, customer service etc. I have always had nothing but quality and excellent service from them. The best analogy I can give is some of the Ford workers wanting to discontinue making police cruisers because there is a belief that will stop injustice on the streets. When in fact that will just take food out of the mouth of many who build those cars. Again, this has nothing to do with what I believe just the observations I am making. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but if you go to see or buy something do you pay for the controversy of the day to be thrown in your face? Just saying. BTW... the link/video has been removed. Hmmm??? A lot of that going on too.

No I, so I'm interested in the link and the fact it really came from B&H. Sounds very strange!

At this point, without personal verification, it is just hearsay to me. B&H should be notified and complained to/given a chance to clarify if in fact it was their initiative that became political. This may just be a problem that others created, so don't go jumping ship from a great company because of a possible fluke of some sort.

I do not believe in unsubstantiated rumors. You have provided no link, no proof, just hear say. And that, in my honest opinion, is worse than any negative post you could have put out. Shame on you, FAKE NEWS.
