An example of what I would call obsessive retouching on this barn composition. The more I cleaned up this scene, the more I saw to clean up. I started to just take out the power lines and at the end of the day ended up here.

Wow, I like your obsessiveness! You ended up with an idealized version of a barn, which I think is just great. Lovely attention to detail; I like how you waved your wand and the fall leaves sprang back onto the trees. And the fence, huge improvement!

It's worth it. The barn becomes wholly the main subject minus the distractions. BTW: I've been down this road myself. I've spent an inordinate amount of effort editing a so-so photograph for a clean view of it. I like to believe this effort improves my editing skills.

I like what you ended up with. Some will say you shoudn't manipulate an image to that degree or to any degree for that matteer. I disagree.

Thanks everyone. My theory has been to optimize your best shot rather than to show hundreds.

Oh, Oh! Some one else messin' with reality!

Nice work incorporating the changes!

Very impressive! I particularly like the white fence extension. Great inspiration here.

IMO "optimising" is a concept that you can't argue against.

Too many things to marvel at here. Linda's fence. Coyote's tree. Rounding off the road. Down-sizing the barn on the left. Dude, you ROCK.
