Yeah, I figured that, but I thought I'd supply some details. I've seen movies that had sections of the film reversed so that writing was backwards, but not the the entire film, and not run from the end to the beginning. When people do their own posting on YouTube, anything can happen.
Those applauses have been done as far back as the 30's and maybe further. They have guys standing around with these big signs, and when they want the audience to laugh or applause, they hold up the proper sign. Later, when TV came in, Quite often they would have no audience. Then they would put in a laugh or applause tape. If you listen closely, they will all sound the same.
When I watch Woodworker’s videos, my other hobby, the closed caption either says “applause” or “music”, whenever a saw is running and making noise.
