Appreciate suggestions. I tried Photo Shop for my first time. I think, my next opportunity, I will concentrate on composition as well. The learning curve continues.

Have Joshua Tree National Park on my list of places when I can fly safely with COVID 19 under control
Joshua Tree NP is one of the placed I'd love to visit to capture the Milky Way. Nice job. If you're looking for suggestions, I would recommend removing what appear to be airplane lights (about 2/3 of the way across the top of the photo). To me, it takes some of the majesty away from what I'm looking at. I think your composition is good. We are at the tail end of MW season, so there isnt much of it to photograph. Next time, maybr either remove the ground/mountains completely, or, find a way to make them more a part of your composition. This is a great shot, very well done!
Thank you. I saw those red lights, however, I don't know how to remove it. This was my first attempt photographing the Milky Way and ever using Photo Shop. There are so many tools one can use, it is a little overwhelming for this older gal! I don't know if Photo Shop is easier to use than some of the other programs out there. Comments, please.
My husband and I flew in and it wasn't too scary. Everyone is required to wear a mask. The middle seat wasn't in use with South West. We stayed about one hour away in Palm Desert. I planned the trip around the moon phase. We only went one night due to the smoky conditions and wild fires. The park was not crowed, you could drive through. At night, we didn't have to drive to far to get to the darkest part of the park. There were photographic tours one could take at night, plan ahead if you go. There are other places considered " dark sky" areas in this country, the research is pretty easy.
Thank you for your input.

Next time, store image so we can view full screen.
Several suggestions
1) Open the Camer Raw filter in PS. Adjust the temperature to around -38 to make the sky a deeper, richer blue.
2) In the Camera Raw filter, apply a radial filter and tilt/stretch so it covers the central core of the MW. Click the invert box so only the core is affected. Open up Whites, fiddle with exposure to bring out the hidden structure in the core. Also, adjust saturation/Clarity to do the same.
For your next approach, include more of the dark foreground in the image to provide the viewer with a sense of scale.
Thanks, I will try your suggestions.

Consider getting dimension to the image by light painting some rocks or trees.
Does one do that with a flashlight?

Don't forget to see 💀 skull rock while you are there.
Thanks. I have a nice photo of it. I like yours as well. It is a beautiful area.
