A 49 I think. I had a 50 roadmaster and a 50 special. Sonomatic radio, dynaflow transmission, striaght 8 and rotating antenna on top. Quite a deal. Had a sound all its own with the dynaflow. Great car.

Enjoyed the photo as it brings back a lot of good memories.
Good shot. My first thought was a 52 but only a guess. The Dynaflows did have a sound of their own. My brother once owned a 53.
Excellent photo, Cany. I have no guess on the year of the car except to say that it is likely just a wee bit older than me.

Looks like a 49 special. I prefer the 85 Riviera, but the paint on the 49 is very niceπ
I think 49 Special (3-holer) is correct.

Nice pic! Is it a 1955 Buick? Or maybe earlier?
I believe it is pre-1950 when they went to the one piece windshield. Perhaps a 48 or 49.
While in college (I crammed four years into five to get a BA in 61 through 66), I drove a beautiful 1950 Roadmaster if I remember correctly. A pretty green one that I had bought for $100. My buddy had a 50 Chevy and on a weekend trip to the Texas Hill Country he threw a rod. I went to retrieve him, his girlfriend and the Chevy my Roadmaster, attached a chain and towed them back up US 281 and on to Fort Worth.
We went to a wrecking yard, bought an engine for $20 and put it in that Chevy he drove for another few years.
Those were the days that some nearly 80 year olds now talk about from time to time.

From most makers, '46, '47 and '48 were identical, or nearly so.
Judging by the shape of the rear taillight and fender, it looks like a '49.
