the Georgio Maggiore shot (if it were straightened) is the one,
well done, and no hordes of Jap tourists in it, so well done for getting up early.

You cannot snap Veneto from anywhere and not get a picture, magic place....

Way to go Dargo!
I was in Venice a couple of years ago, before I discovered this beautiful hobby that we all share, and I got up early to go to the Rialto Market one morning....I distinctly recall seeing lots of possible photos and thinking about how cool they would have looked....NOW I KNOW, thanks to you! Excellent shots, my personal pref. is #3, that reflection is KILLER! Post more, you have the right mind to take photos vs snaps...
All the best,
BogeyEliot

Thank you, I hope my other post "A Few More From Venice" hasn't changed your mind.

Thank you Cas, as a newbie here, when you say "ones we don't see often enough" what do you mean?
City snaps, type photographs?

Well we don't see many (or any) from Venice, my dream place to go. Your composition was good, subject excellent, it held my interest and told me what morning is like there at that time of day. Oh yes, I've seen photos before from different eyes, now I've seen your. I want to go to Italy so bad, but can't find anyone to go with me. I love that anicent, old feeling, the history there and your photos give me a view seen from your eyes, how wonderful. Ah, maybe someday I'll get there and post my pictures. That said, you did a nice job and I enjoyed each and everyone of them. Welcome and again Thank you for sharing.

You have a great eye for composition, which can be taught only with difficulty. The rest of it is equiupment and education by trial and error.

Dargo did post some nice pics......not great but nice....FYI dargo....the hog is a nice site...but it won't give you much constructive criticism.

Venice at looks fascinating at night-nice job. Had to play with it,though I really liked the story it told uncropped and in color.

I am going to look at these as is they were entered in camera club competition.

#1 the horizon is slightly off from hozontal, the light on the left needs to be removed as it adds nothing to your photo.

#2 the pillar on the left should hide the tower from the building in the background, the whole picture is rather flat, does not pop. a long exposure may have helped this out.

#3 is a great night shot and I can't find anything more to say, i like it alot

IMHO anyway
