I would love to have 7D (I have a T1i) - all your lenses would work, but if you need to make 16 x 20 and larger prints you'll probably want that 5D III or the latest 1D model. The 85 mm 1.8 would be a nice portrait lens.

My 7D does up to 30" without any problems.

welcome to my $0.02, a 50D or 60D will do everything you need for under a grand. 1D Mk2 can be had for 600-700 bucks
and will accept your current glass

Would you guys go with the 7d over a 5d? Or is it just because of the price tag?

I am not sorry in any way for buying the 7D this camera is so Awesome all must any canon user will tell you that, just saying and if you wanna get into sports the camera can pop off over 8 rounds per sec. the 5D can not do that
