I spent both weekend days at the racetrack using a 11 year old D3 and an old Silent Wave AFS 80~200mm F:2.8D lens. I also used a old D600 and a 24~120mm F:3.5~4.5. The results look great if I might say so.

Neat set - those old vehicles have character to spare! Our present day generic cars could never be modified to look like that.

Really, really cool photos. You brought back memories from when I was the strip photographer at Beeline Dragstrip years ago.

Looks like you were at the Milan Dragway, a place I never visited when I lived in Milan many years ago. Great photos of some very interesting dragsters. Thank you for sharing them.

Thank goodness for the interest in these nostalgia events, a helluva lot more interesting to watch than the current mix of today's high tech classes! Great job on the photos!!! By the way, there are a lot of videos on YouTube of early drag racing as well as the current nostalgia drags.
