I spent both weekend days at the racetrack using a 11 year old D3 and an old Silent Wave AFS 80~200mm F:2.8D lens. I also used a old D600 and a 24~120mm F:3.5~4.5. The results look great if I might say so.
Neat set - those old vehicles have character to spare! Our present day generic cars could never be modified to look like that.
All great shots, loved them. Thanks.
Really, really cool photos. You brought back memories from when I was the strip photographer at Beeline Dragstrip years ago.

Looks like you were at the Milan Dragway, a place I never visited when I lived in Milan many years ago. Great photos of some very interesting dragsters. Thank you for sharing them.
Thank goodness for the interest in these nostalgia events, a helluva lot more interesting to watch than the current mix of today's high tech classes! Great job on the photos!!! By the way, there are a lot of videos on YouTube of early drag racing as well as the current nostalgia drags.
Great series....must have been a fun event
