So, I sat down in a doctor's office and looked at a magazine that was chock full of watch ads. In fact, that was the main purpose of this magazine, to sell watches. I noticed for the first time that all analog watch ads show the time as 10:10 (plus or minus a couple minutes). This is a near universal truth. Now that you've heard of it, you'll start to see this in the world.

Nice watch. I recognize the band from a watch my father had in the 50's. It had no hands, but two glass disks with one diamond in each that revolved around the face.

I've noticed the 10:10 syndrome for quite some time Cookie.
I collect wrist watches the way Imelda Marcos collected shoes.
It's just serendipity that my picture also has the hands pointing up to the left and right...
as they do at 10:10 when the 12 is at the top of the image

Beautiful time piece, but it actually it does not represent a 'retro look' as its style continues to follow the forever and current looks of the Rolex Submariner; the rotating bezel and deep diving, 15-minute interval markings are quite typical. Great product photo.
