I seem to be watching a lot of TV lately, and I'm noticing lots of expressions that should be retired. I'm sure you can add to this list.

I’m on it.
Not even light.
Life as we know it.
As we speak.
Price point.
No problem.
Liquid water.
You don’t have to do this.
How much (time, fuel, food, ammo) is left. "Not enough." or "You don't want to know." It's always an important question, but the person asking doesn't get an answer.

The bad guy is threatening to blow up the city or send a busload of kids over a cliff. The good guy has his/her gun pointed at him, trying to talk him out of it (He's the bad guy!). Rather than just shoot him, he/she gives the bad guy time to do his worst.

I watched a disappointing disaster movie last night. The sun had gone wacky (technical term), and it was going to destroy the earth. I was rooting for the sun. Near the end, a scientist realized that he had a "+" rather than a "-" in his formula, so the sun would not destroy the earth. I was disappointed.
I seem to be watching a lot of TV lately, and I'm ... (show quote)

How about adding worn out words to your list. Like "iconic", that word is so last week! Or "matrix", get real dude, that word has lost its cool! I was looking for the best ICONIC MATRIX but I think I will take a nap instead.

If we're adding words, how about: "intersectionality"

Having said that, you may notice that that notice is not worth noticing

How about grossly overused (and almost always hyperbolic) "awesome".

So true on your observation that, "The bad guy is threatening to blow up the city or send a busload of kids over a cliff. The good guy has his/her gun pointed at him, trying to talk him out of it (He's the bad guy!). Rather than just shoot him, he/she gives the bad guy time to do his worst." I have often asked myself that very same question. I am often amused at depictions of the bad guy using a person as a human shield. Usually peeking around his shied if not blatantly standing out in the open. Doesn't anyone understand how fast a bullet can travel? Just draw a bead and shoot. 99% of the time the bad guy won't be able to dodge, let alone put his shield in harms way before the bullet strikes.

At the end of the day.
Let me be perfectly clear.
