So after having a surreal encounter with the dancing fox the other day this happened. I came across a fox eating something in the grass. I tried to edge in a little closer but he spied me. He meandered off to the edge of the slope that borders the field. I followed him, maybe 10 yards parallel to him and my presence was ignored. He changed direction once or twice seeming to stalk something on the slope. Then he bounded into the brush and came out seconds latter with his prize and amazingly chased by his heretofore unseen sibling. I don't know why this fox was unfazed by my presence. Maybe he/she is just accustomed to me walking in their field and doesn't see me as a threat.
Steve, don't take it personally but if I were spying a plate of food, I'd ignore you too.
Good work on getting these nature photos. --Bob
