Great song to listen to as a Vermonter.
I never comment on these posts of yours, but I do enjoy most of the music you offer, especially the jazz.
Cant get any better than this. Thanks

Hi Mark, I'm hoping not to insult anyone, also hoping that there are folks who do what I do. 99.9% of the time I read the posts to UHH based on the subjects that interest me. However in your case when I see your name and a musical reference it automatically gets opened and read. Thanks. This was an especially good one. Mike

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the reply. I feel honored!! Music has been a driving force in my life since I was 9 yrs. old(1946). I started cornet lessons on a 2nd hand Conn cornet my father picked up in an antique shop and gave it to me as a X-mas gift. I think it cost $40. It was falling apart at some of the joints, the valves were stuck, had numerous dents, ... I began lessons for $2 week from an Italian man who traveled by bus to give me a weekly lesson. Within two years I graduated to trumpet. At 13, me and a couple of friends started a "dance band". My first gig was in 1951. I made $2.
So, music is one of my passions.
Thank you so much for the kind remarks.

You're welcome. Just posted to General Chit-Chat some thoughts on Coltrane's masterpiece, Alabama. Hope you'll weigh in.

Thank you so much for that link. An amazing and moving account of the music and interpretation of same. It's literature!
I posted the recording and article on my Facebook page.
