by naming a commemorative street after him and adding a plaque. Hopefully they will add his past history to the plaque.

You are half a continent away from here, what could you possibly know about George Floyd. Was he a perfect saintly soul. No and show me one. 911 was called over a $20 dollar bill by an untrained clerk at Cup Foods. Do you know the skills needed to detect counterfeit currency. The police had him cuffed and vertical before the murdering officer got there. There is no visual evidence about how he got horizontal. All they had to do was lift him up and into the squad car. Being a big over 200 pounder that was going to be a piece of work. But Chauvin chose murder.

Floyd was wrong on all counts but he did not deserve to die. Chauvin deserves to stand trial for murder 1

The same as the rest of us. There have been numerous videos released along with statements. Try watching and/or reading some news. Watch the videos. There have been many from security cams and Police cams. You do not have to live in Minneapolis to know about Floyd.

They use a pen that they draw a line on any bill to detect if it is counterfeit. That needs to be done with the customer present. After they leave the store it is too late.

You really have missed lot of news and videos. They put him in the squad car where he scooted out the other door and landed on the ground. He told them he needed to lay down. Try keeping up before you go making inflammatory remarks.
One final comment. When are you guilty until proven innocent in this country? It is supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. Have you ever heard that before? The officer(s) is an American citizen and entitled to the same rights as everybody else.

Not Murder One. In Minnesota Murder-1 has to be pre-meditated. He was charged with the highest count, Murder-2, and Manslaughter-3. The other officers were charged with Aiding & Abetting. “Wrong on all counts” means what. The 911 call was about a 20-dollar bill. One of the interesting things is the matter of the 20-dollar bill has completely faded from view. I have read no local news account of it taken in evidence.
Early on there was a report that both Chauvin and Floyd worked as bouncers at a reputed rowdy club and that there was ‘bad blood’ between them. That never went anywhere in the press. It is something to look for in the murder trial next year.

Google Maps has me 1.7 miles from Cup Foods. Our local news sources are primary - they are the source of all you have seen. The businesses on that corner and the city have surveillance cameras and some footage came from then. None show Floyd as being IN the squad car. And no video of Floyd scooting out. There is a video of Floyd being extracted from his car, of Floyd being cuffed, of Floyd being walked to the sidewalk, of Floyd sitting, of Floyd being walked to the squad car - then blank to - Floyd under the knee of Chauvin. If there is audio of Floyd saying he had to lie down, it has not been reported in the media.

Try looking on the internet. The body cam video was available for viewing. His desire to lay down was not audio. It was on the body cam video. His going in one car door and out the other was on the body cam video. The white substance on his tongue also body cam video. Look for it. I saw it once and that was enough for me.
I'm not sure why you would want to rely solely on local news. Other than KSTP, have they reported on the autonomous zone in Minneapolis? You can check that on KSTP.com.
Now, go look up what is going on in your own neighborhood. I'm sure you have more time in your day than I do.

There were at least two different stories in the media on that too. I'm sure the prosecutor is gathering the evidence and it will all come out in court. Maybe you should wait for the end of the story.

Viewed both videos and neither showed George Floyd. Just an officer messing with something in the back seat of the cruiser. By implication we are supposed to believe it was Floyd. Not very convincing video. Can’t distinguish it be the term ‘evidence.’
