This past Feb. I watched this juv. Bald Eagle make an out of camera range, mid-air theft from another young BE. She then perched in a nearby tree and gave me a lesson in BE table etiquette. It's how they make a living!

Thanks Carol, Between bites she was squawking (gloating) at the victim of her theft who was in a nearby tree squawking right back. Quite a ruckus!

Hi Alan, thank you. The tree is Eucalyptus, a non-native species imported from Australia in the late 1900th century. They are widely distributed in California and now recognized as a fire hazard.
I'm a little embarrassed about this set, I realized this morning that I had posted two of the photos in a set this past April...getting old and forgetful!
