Keh, was very reliable. The quote they give you, maybe different after they look at what you are selling when they actually have it in their hands. And with all the things that have gone on with craigs' list. You never have to worry about any kind of physical confrontation. Selling it to someone on the street.
Yes. Sold three cameras and a number of lenses. No complaints at all.

My experience is better prices selling to MPH by 10%-15%. Timing (supply and demand) effects what you’ll be offered.

I haven't sold anything to them but I have the impression that they don't offer very much for anything used. I have all my used cameras, etc in a glass display cabinet in my home office. I think I will hang on to them until I die and let my family do what they will with them.
you are right, they don't offer much....

Has anyone sold their used cameras to KEH Camera? What was your experience?
Thank you
I have bought and sold lenses with KEH but not cameras. My experience with the lenses has been positive.
Before you sell anything, look on eBay and click on "Sold items" toward the bottom of the left column. You'll see what people were willing to pay.

I have used them. Price offered was low ball.
Consider listing here on the UHH site. You'll get a bit more in most instances. I have sold 4 items over the years and have had no problems dealing with members.

You are absolutely right. However,
I am helping my aunt dispose of a collection of vintage cameras.
I need an easy way for her to handle it.
She is 1000 miles away from me and is not computer savvy. This would have critical info to know when first asking the question.
Makes a big diffrence.
How do you define vintage?
That would affect which buyers would be interested.
I think I saw a few "vintage' cameras on the KEH site.
Hard to tell on
MPB, give them a call.
I got a better price from them for stuff I sold.
Good luck with the task!

About a month ago, I did a Zoom call to sell some of my Fujifilm equipment. I got a fair offer that I agreed to and a couple days after, upon receipt of my equipment by KEH, I received an e-mail from my buyer telling me that my equipment was in better condition than what he had seen on the call. I got an second offer that was $70 more than the original offer. They could easily have gone with the original offer since I had accepted it, and I would not have known any different. I had originally offered the equipment to my local photography club members, and was willing to take less from my friends. The original offer from KEH was more than I was asking from the photography club. I highly recommend their service.

I got a better price when selling to MPB, both bodies and lenses.
Since you're selling a large number of cameras, dealing with a company like KEH would be the easiest way to do it. If you want to get the maximum amount of money, that's a different situation. Also, don't confuse "vintage" with "old."

I agree with you I'll just hang onto the four items I listed. It seems digital equipment depreciates fast than older Film SLR equipment.

They are fine. You get a quote. You don’t have to take it. No one cheats you.
