Anyone on the forum from the UK
Hello also
You will find quite a few Brits on the Forum.
You will also be able to access any help you may need.
Everyone is very friendly and very accomplished photographers
They even put up with me :) :)
I am still at the stage of dabbling my feet testing the waters.
Welcome to the gang
One of the things I like about UHH is that the whole spectrum is here, and everyone is welcome.
Having said that, there is no shortage of people who are obviously professionals or very keen hobbyists, and the standard of the advice (that is freely given) is very high.

I don't get on well on so called "photo forums" there appears to be too many "my camera is better than your camera" and "you don't use one of THOSE do you"
You will not see me list my gear here
It's what/who is behind the camera that matters
I see you've already found that the humour can be top-notch. Sarge69 and co. are excellent - if you liked the "UK humour" post you can expect more of the same.
(I hope you didn't mind my wee joke about the English. Most of what you see in UHH is done in good humour).

It is rare to find a forum with humour, though I have found some truny "funny" people on some forums ;)
My avatar shows my sons and me with friend Patrick Moore
I see from your website that you have information technology and professional photography experience. Any contributions concerning either of these subjects will be appreciated in this forum. I've seen queries about all sorts of technical subjects here.
Your website has a good look to it. My only suggestion would be to include a bit more variety in the galleries.
Me also,from the West Midlands.

Hello,
My name is John Radford, i live in Somerset England
used to work alongside Peter Gully,( a firm called M.S.E ) a nephew of Patrick Moore,
we were both interested in stereoscopic or 3d photography, and i remember peter was very good at it.
