I am in the process of reviewing different camera's. The 3 that are on the list are the 90D, EOS RP & EOS R6. They offer different options for someone, and my reason for a FF is for night shooting, and the mirrorless option is for lighter/smaller. I like the 90D for animal and sports. But in the end it will be as a travel camera for mostly stills. So for now, as I continue, the eos rp is the leader.

I have been using the D850, would like to try out the Z7. IBIS could be very helpful

This post has resulted in 10 pages of posts. I think that shows that us UUHers are really just gear heads and making photographs is a secondary pursuit of our interest in photography. Just an observation.

It may be an extra/backup, or maybe you want a small compact camera for travel. Of course, you could be planning to update and replace your Main Shooter. I have my D750, Sony a6000, and Fuji X-T30, in addition so some older cameras, so I'm all set. But what about you?

I'm looking forward to the Nikon Z8 or equivalent. I have a bunch of cameras and lenses.

I just bought a Z50 Nikon... traded in a Sony A6500. Just couldn't get my head around the camera menu system. I have been shooting Nikon since 1982 as a high school freshman.

I have my eye on D850 (I have a D810) as I have a sizable investment in glass and love the Nikon FF DSLRs. I have 8 batteries for the 810.. .wondering if they'll work on the 850. I don't need 8, could get by with 3, but always like charged spares.

Also there's rumor of a D860 coming out... but that sounds like a small bump from 850.

Would love your insight!

It saddens me that cell phones are taking such great pictures--People have no idea how the photo is develped.
The AI is incredible.

Of course we're gear heads but I don't know that that's our first priority, maybe a close second, LOL.

I have an 850 and a D500 and just purchased a D4s so I'm in there with you brother. I think you can't go wrong with Nikon.

Main camera is a Sony RX10 IV backed up by an RX10 I and RX100 VI pocket version. Can't see needing anything else. If I win the lotto I will probably buy a Sony A7 III and a butt load of lenses but barring that I'll stick with what I have, at least until the RX10 V is released and I determine if the upgrade is worth it.

Yes I have my a7r4 and a6600 and my rx100m6, so I’ll look at the Canons, RF models of course, and then Fuji has.....

No Sir, my first DSLR was an entry level D3300 and quickly realized it wasn't going to do the job; shutter was too slow. So, I gave that one to my son and purchased the D500.

I just traded in a Canon 5dm4 and a Canon R to preorder the Canon R5. I still have a Canon 1DXm2 I use as well. Trying move toward a deeper commitment to mirrorless to lighten the load.

Great choice. The 3300 is a good camera. But doesn't hold up to the D8xx at all. I am loving my Z50 right now as a handy dandy easy and light. It's pretty amazing. It's not a D8x... but it's awesome.
