Hard to get her to even carry a cell phone much less take pics. I do all the photography using one of my dslrs or occasionally a bridge camera.

yes, smile and wait for the flash
I have 3 Nikons, several Nikon lenses, a few filters, tripod, remote (tethered) release, tons of SD cards and some thingamabobs and whatnots. My other Nikons are stored on a shelf in case I need another camera. My husband will grab one of my cameras and make beautiful photos. He just doesn't have the interest that I have. He has a better eye. Together, we have a very nice collection of photos that we like. He has helped me with light painting. Because I am lighting things on fire, he presses the remote to make the photo.

My wife carries two Nikon D5300's mounted with a 100mm Macro and 70-300 zoom. My two D5300's are mounted with a 70-300 zoom and a 300mm f2.8 with a 2X converter. I keep an Olympus Tough 4 in a pocket for it's Microscope and Panorama modes.
While I have more years of photo experience, the 12 years she has been going shooting afield with me has pretty much made her an equally (and occasionally more) skilled photographer to me.
We are both Certified Master Naturalists. If it walks, crawls, flies, swims, or grows we've probably taken a picture of it sometime.
My wife's camera bag is a purse with an iPhone inside. She is always ready to take excellent photos and video.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Her iPhone. (My old iPhone - takes better photos than me most of the time)

My wife takes amazing photographs. She never uses a phone for her photography.
In her kit is a Sony RX10IV and a Panasonic ZS100. Both have small protective neoprene cases and nothing else. I am not allowed to touch either one.
That is ALL that she carries. She may be smarter than I am!
What does your wife/partner/significant person in your life carry?
My husband and I at one time both carried SLRs. I turned out to be the better photographer so he carries his iPhone and I lug the rest.
