Oops...it is Steve Perry’s book, “ Secrets to the Nikon Autofocus System...Mirrorless edition”.
One of the things he describes: “ The only AF mode that - for sure - uses Contrast Detection style AF is Pinpoint AF (as a reminder, only available in AF-S mode). The rest of the system seems to rely mostly on Phase Detection - although technically it can mix that with Contrast Detection as needed. Unfortunately, we can’t manually choose if the camera uses Contrast or Phase Detect AF.”

Sorry but the Northrups have far more qualifications than you. Your attitude is unsupported...except maybe by jealousy.
