She is sleeping at the moment. So I went to look and her bag seemed awful heavy. I was surprised. A Nikon D7200 with a Nikon 85mm f/1.4G Lens, an 18-140mm Nikon Lens, an extra battery, a spare mask, a .357 Colt Python, 2 Safari land comp speed loaders, a Swiss army knife, a cheap plastic rain poncho and a box of condoms. You never know what may pop up while out photographing wildlife.

I was at Yellowstone and the only open spot along the road with a view of the wolf was next to a woman. She had a younger man with her. He drove the Suburban. It had a false floor in the back with foam compartments for about $50K worth of heavy gear. He hauled out, set it up and she only had to frame, focus and shoot. My wife carries a "purse", I would call it a carry all. In it she carries an anvil and a sledge hammer, just in case. She also caries any implement that circumstances may require her to use. It is no surprise that it weighs a ton. But it supplies a major part off the exercise she needs. No weapons, but then she has the sledge hammer!

My wife doesn't have a camera bag - all of them are MINE (I've got at least 4 in regular use).
My wife generally just used her phone occasionally with supplementary lenses.
On the rare occasion she uses a proper camera it's likely to be one I've carried.

Mine has a Sony A7 III and a couple of zoom lenses. She's had it for about 2 years and has only used it on a couple of vacations! I should confiscate it for myself!

I got a male looking back for my 810/70-200 2.8 so my husband helps me carrying the equipment......lol.....
