I, too, take the time to convert a few images, usually when I feel disappointed in the outcome of the colored version. The following example is exactly that, an image that was thoroughly underwhelming in color but that leaps off the page for me in B/W. It was shot with an ef-s 10-18mm lens, so there is some distortion, but I feel the image loses some of its 'flow' when the verticals are corrected in PP.

Looks like a bridge I may have crossed to get to Memphis,TN.πŸ‘

Yesterday afternoon. Quite a place. A goat farm where they sell their products, cheeses etc, picnic tables, byob, pretty cool

Nice find. I don’t suppose they have a β€œgoat cart” track too.πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ‘ŒπŸ‘

It's labor day here in the US today. Been a perfect weekend. A couple more from a short hike this week.

Very nice, Pat. Scenery like that is what I find the hardest to convert to B&W.

Thank you for your assessment captivecookie. The reason I increased the contrast was because I felt it should be closer to a silhouette than a detailed image. I may have to reexamine how dark the image & rework it. Thanks.

I've noticed that many times my images upload darker and less sharp to UHH than they appear when I prepare them.
