Probability might be explained thusly:
It is 100 % certain that some Hoggers do not read previous replies before posting their own reply.

[quote=DWU2]Two thoughts:
1. Take a look at the book, [i]"How to Lie With Statistics....
2. If a weather forecaster says there's a 70% chance of rain in the region, does this mean -
a. There's a 70% chance it will rain somewhere in the region

c. There's a 100% chance that it'll rain in 70% of the region[/quote

You can arrange a series of True facts together to = a lie. You can also string a bunch of lies together to = the truth. I'm not sure which requires the most skill/knowledge but probably the latter.

What is the probability the sun will come up in the morning?
Maybe ZERO! I've been told that the earth rotates and exposes us to the sun. But I can't prove it.

Ask the next 30 people you see what their birthdays are. Chances are, one of them will have your birth date (not year).
I always thought that of the 30 two will have the same birthday, not necessarily your birthday. That way you are nit trying to match a specific date, i.e. yours.
