The iconic images of the mill (All of the one's I seen) have only been seen in color. So, this time around, I thought I'd changes things up a bit. On this day it was very crowded and typically we try to beat the crowds. So I was very lucky to have gotten this shot without someone standing in the window. I believe I'm going to reattempt this image next time and add a few more adjustments.

Typical photographers response.. It was shot in monochrome or black & white mode and it's dark for a reason. to capture the heavy weathering and texture of the wood. I'm an artist first, photographer second and I try to merger the two.

Typical response indeed. All that photographer needs is a little point and shoot to just take the picture. Does not see photography as a form of art. Would probably make the same critical statement about Ansel Adams' images.

We've been there many times. It's really beautiful in the right light.

Wow. You did a nice job with the texture of the wood.

I was there about seven years ago. I took lots of photos there. Here is one of mine. Did you eat at the restaurant there? I got their pancake sampler. Those buckwheat pancakes have a strong flavor! I've never had pancakes that are almost black in color.

Iconic mill for sure. I have got some great photos of it in both color and B/W.
