Worked for over 20 years just down the road in Cary. Apex is a fine little town and I visited many times.

I lived in Cary from 01 to 2015, moving into this rtmt commnity between US64 and Haddon Hall.

You’ve stolen our name! Alexandria, Indiana, was given the official title of Small Town USA by our government during WWII for the purpose of producing a propaganda pamphlet. Shame!

(I’m joking, of course, but we do have the official federal government designation of Small Town USA.)

Sorry Jaymatt. Next time I will ck the copyright laws and registrations on the books!

You brought back lots of memories. Back in the 70s I was a chaplain at Wake Med and visited Apex often to meet with local pastors. My father-in-law was pastor at Holly Springs Baptist Church for several years. Give you a laugh, last year we went to visit a friend who's wife died in Fuquay Varina and went through Apex on the way almost got lost because it has grown so much. Couldn't believe Holly Springs had a bypass. When we lived there there was only a two lane road that went right through "downtown" Holly Springs.

I love these all across the country. It made me think of an observation by Jeff Foxworthy
Only those who grew up in a small rural town will get this right away.

👍👍👍

I'm from your neighboring not-so-small-any-more town of Cary. I like small town life.
