kewl idea, but I would put some weight in the bottom tray just in case!!! if one your wheels got scotched somehow as you get up your rig could tip forward .

Thanks for comment. Not a real prob with current camera setup. Plus I always keep one hand in the camera until completely up.

Just don't get pumped and roll off the edge - gravity rules. I'd have at least a grab rope.
Not as tough as in younger days, but a skosh smarter and more careful.

Me no tuff enuf to fall anymore either. I definitely keep one eye on porch edge.

I thoroughly enjoy sitting on our back porch and taking pics of all the little 4-legged critters and birds that avail themselves of the sunflower seeds I toss out. Invariably something is just out of twist-around capability for my hefty waist. So, Iā€™ve been wanting to try something like this.
Twenty dollar mechanics stool from Harbor Freight (on sale), piece of Fiberglas from a tool handle I broke a few years ago, piece of sanded down PVC to slide into handle, leftover piece of oak for lower clamp (screwed to base of stool top), tool knob from somewhere, homemade clamp & knob, and ball head I bought several years ago at garage sale.
Works even better than Iā€™d hoped. I can just spin around to whatever direction I want/need, or I can just pull it up to whatever chair Iā€™m sitting in.

Great idea!
You need to go on ā€œShark Tankā€ and get financing for commercial manufacture. Donā€™t forget design patents!

Ron, very innovative and a good use of material at hand. I like when someone is able to DIY something to remedy an issue to good use. Very nice, sir.

Better trade mark that quick.

I see some sports photographers have similar ideas.
