I’m so glad you posted the retrospective as I missed a couple of them (although hope to go back). I really like the poignant photo “R” but all the photos are just stunning. You have a good eye for composition and light. Everything I’ve seen so far has been incredible. I’m happy to be able to do the virtual visit.
Thank you! Ellen L

Thank you very much Ellen for your kind comment. I am happy that you like the "R" image, it is one of my very favorites of this entire tour, but this particular set originally did not get much response at all, that is why I added this second section of my preferences to this retrospective. Thanks for looking in and commenting Joe

Joe, it has been a very interesting tour. You have earned a rest, but, please don’t get too comfy. Will look forward to another tour somewhere. Barbara

Final words…. Rather than repeating myself with words similar to what I posted in yesterday's set, which had very few viewers, if you have not seen them, I invite you to click on the link below to read them in yesterday's post.

"A scene that flashed once in our eyes, within these frame eternalize..."

We thank you for a journey far,
as if we trod another star
reliving steps you cast in time
we shared a cup of mem'ry wine.
And as the story draws to close
you choose to keep the best of those
to show again what we have missed
evoking feelings of being kissed
A silent laughter, a smiling tear
we gazed anew without a fear
So as we part and say goodbye
Remind ourselves that time do fly
That we should go, that we should try
Create our own lines in the sky...

Thank you for the wonderful journey

Thank you very much Wallen, I am touched by these beautiful thoughts and that you would attach them to this tour. It was very nice to have you along - sort of as our own Middle-East specialist - and thank you for your input when I asked for it! I wish you a happy time in Sharjah and do trust that you will get to see your wife and your beautiful daughter soon again - and that life for you and your family will be fulfilling and kind to you all. I wish you all the very best and hope that you will ride along if and when I do start another travelogue, it will not be in the Middle East, but there are so many wonderful places all over this great world of ours - and maybe one day we might meet in person, who knows? Thanks again
Joe Weber

Have enjoyed looking at all your photos in the series. We have a grandson in the Coast Guard being deployed to Bahrain and he is hoping to visit several countries in the area.
Were you on a tour?

Superb sets. I have viewed them all and they are wonderful. I was in the region several times but much earlier (mid 80's) so there have been many changes. Thank you for bringing back some happy memories.
