I order and pay for my medication on line through Kaiser and two days later it is delivered to my address. On Sunday I ordered an Item from Weaver Leather and just got notified that it is being delivered by USPS and is due on 8/29 by 8 pm. It use to be that it would take mail 3 days to cross the country now it seems like it wants to take the scenic route. Have a good day everyone

Ha! I have that beat.

How about USPS Flat Rate Airmail Small Package, from Green Bay, WI, to the Netherlands? Yep, first it spent 11 days at Chicago O'Hare (this is after all Guaranteed International 10 day delivery), then it left... for San Francisco. After a suitable wait, someone blew the dust off it and sent it off to Narita, Japan... Fortunately, someone in Japan owns a Globe, as it then went straight to the Netherlands.

Yes, that's right. For the trifling sum of $40, you too can have your small package circumnavigate the Earth... and it will only take a couple of months.

I swear, you can't make this s**t up, and if you did, no-one would believe you.

I had a friend order toilet paper back when there was a shortage. The vendor said it would be 8 to 12 days delivery. (He found out later that the order was coming from China, It went from China to North Korea to a place just out side Hong Kong. The was shipped to the United States. Once it arrived in Los Angeles , then it ended up in several places (LAX, San Francisco < San Diego, Indiana and finally was delivered to his home in Texas 98 days later. It took 7 days to reach the US from China. The other 92 days it toured the US

Did it have the appropriate VISA as well as vaccinations for its tour of the US? Sorry, the devil made me think/write that!

Mail delivery is getting difficult. Medication is a serious business. You should never risk delivery. I know as I’m a pharmacist. First I know that medication is expensive. And it won’t get cheaper. Second have prescriptions filled by a mail order to save money. Third, have a doctor send your prescriptions to a local pharmacy to be kept on file. If you run low and can’t get your medication on time, have your local pharmacy activate the scripts for a ten day supply and give the balance as refills.
I do this all day so patients don’t run out.

Happy Shooting!

Might be great until you have to deal with your meds through the VA. The problems that plague the USPS lie with those whom run it, and will never be fix till they step up and correct the problems.

I may be unique in this post, but I have on time deliveries from USPS, Fedex and UPS services. I appreciate the difficulties and experiences of others whose deliveries are not up to par. Perhaps I'm just fortunate.

Very circuitous route to receive medication from Ohio. Yesterday morning (Monday), the USPS site showed that the package was at my PO box. Nope - NOT there!! Late afternoon, the USPS site stated it would be “late” with delivery by 8PM last night. Tracking showed it had left the South Jersey Distribution Center and that it was on the way. Nope - still no medication at PO as of late this afternoon. Just checked tracking again, and NOW my meds are supposedly in Maryland!! and on the way to the destination. Seriously?!!?? Wonder where they’re headed to next - San Francisco, maybe? This is not the first time a package sent via USPS went on a tour of the Eastern US. It Is the first time it happened with medications, though.

I have Optum RX. I never have had any issues with delivery or refills. About 5 months ago, I put all my prescriptions on auto refill. You might give that a try.

Good luck,
Mark

Been doing the same with Optum RX for the last few years, no problems either.

Interesting. How can so many people make so many mistakes? Were this me, i would carefully check address info on delivery just to make sure it wasn't a human error on the senders part.

My best stories are-

Sent payment to American Express in Dallas in their envelope. They even have their own ZIP.

Letter was returned after a week with envelope stamped "ADDRESSEE UNKNOWN"

Sent my Australian passport (this was 50 years ago before I had American citizenship) to the Australian Embassy in Washington DC by registered mail. There was no reply for several weeks and eventually I called the Australian Embassy and the clerk said to me "we have no record of ever having received your passport". I said, that I have the signed receipt here stating that it had been received. She said whose name is on that and I said "S. Klein". She said we have no "S Klein". So we disengaged and I sat there wondering what the next step was when the phone rang and it was the visa click again. She said "your passport has best been delivered to us-from the Austrian Embassy". Nuff Said"
