Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos of a beautiful place. I've lived within an hour of there most of my life and I still love going. We live in Greer, SC and often visit friends in Hendersonville and take the route through there on our way home just to ride through and enjoy the scenery. A goal of mine this year is to go up to the top of the chimney. The boat tour they offer is really nice, too. Disappointed you didn't share a photo of the mobile home.

Thank you for your lovely message. I've lived here for 25 years, after Malika and I retired. We live about five miles from the lake on a beautiful piece of land deep in the woods. It is the best area, for sure.

A lovely area of N.C. and the country. If my children and grandchildren didn’t live in Raleigh, I’d be looking for a house in the area (but probably not one of those 😩). I looked at the real estate for sale in the area, and prices not very different from Raleigh. I do think I’ll take a couple of days and drive over that way before the “leaf peeper” season gets popular. As more and more hurricanes ravage the coast of NC, more and more people are looking for a place in the mountains.

This is a beautiful place to retire. We've been here for 25 years and do not regret it at all. The weather is great because of the Isolthermal Belt. Relatively mild winters and great springs and falls. The summers get a bit hot, but that is still great. Thanks for the response.
