Thanks to you all, still experimenting. Not quite sure what ratio I'm getting, The 100mm L2.8 by itself is 1:1. With the 2X tele attached would make it a 200mm 5.6.. Don't think the 1:1 went to 2:1.... I don't know. All I know is those shots would have scared everything away because the lens hood would have been on the insect. The above shots now are about 12 to 14 inches away..! Huge difference in how close I need to get. Plus the 13mm extension tube between the 2X converter protrusion so it doesn't hit the back glass on the macro lens..
