Hi Tedge,
I have a Sony Handycam video Hi8 Hi-Fi Stereo. Bought it new many years ago. It has all the cords, manual, sunshade, etc. that came with it when new. I is also in a Solidex bag that shows newer and is the right size bag for the camera. It is in like new condition . . . hardly ever used. I do not know what it is worth. Let me know if you are interested and perhaps we can talk about.

Sony made both analog (Hi 8) and digital (Digital 8) 8mm camcorders. The digital ones can play the analog tapes but only record in digital format, not compatible with the analog camcorders. The digital recordings are far superior. You can capture them as AVI files via a Firewire connection.
