My son was embedded in afghani then Iraq, he was proud of the work he was doing. Then Obummer got elected, like flipping a switch, everything changed. He got out before he got killed. One thing Obummer did was to drive my son back home to me. Obama is a sad, pathetic excuse for Commander and Chief. Only one other time in my life have I seen such a pathetic display of inept leadership...Jimmy Carter.

At least 'ol Jimmie could keep a secret.

Please do not get involved in this on a forum. I did concerning the shooting of 2 police females that lead me to being barred from a forum.

The Seal Team Six member did more damage in his book than all the horse sh*t on this UTube garbage tape.

A typical hatchet job by some right wing agitators!

You want a "cherry picked" fact? What about when BamBam anounced a date of withdrawal?? All they had to do was sit back and wait for us to leave. Not to mention what it did to the locals who were helping us!!

That was a brilliant military move. Why?? To appease all of his lib supporters in this country.

Either take politics out of this photography site or lose people who are solely interested in advancing photography. I am a ptofession photographer with work in the Smithsonian in Washington, DC. I am appalled at the level of virulence and lack of civility in these postings. Sorry guys, I'll be gone if I still see this viciousness in next month's release.

You know that nobody is forcing you to open up any threads that are political in nature.

Except, now that you have chimed in on this thread, you will be getting notifications everytime someone posts something new. Unless you click "unwatch".

Thank you, but you are missing the point. I do my political jousting on political sites. I keep my photography discussions strictly to the subject at hand. Since most of the postings are one-sided polemics and not meant for discussion, I'll bow out and recommend all my associates to do the same. It was a nice site until the nastiness crept in. Good bye. Steve

I guess Steve didn't bother reading the description of the General Chit-Chat (non-photography talk) forum. :)

ole sarge (if you really were a sarge), you need to get off your Obama-phone and watch the clip.

I've been on both sides of the media. I dealt with the media as my job in the U.S. Air Force, then I got a job with the media when I got out of the service. They (the media) don't care who they hurt or what they reveal....as long as they get the story they want.

If you were a former member of our military services, you should be outraged that Obama claims "he killed Osama". That alone should send you running to the polls so you could vote mr-good-for-nothing out of office.

jkaye65 - The media has been doing the same thing since 1965. Every administration leaks information. Where have you been? I listened to this video and did not hear Obama say "he killed Osama". He said "the United States conducted an operation that killed Osama". This video is doing the same thing as the media. Was your job with the media, newspaper delivery? You questioned Sarge's military service. What was yours?

I'm a retired Major, registered Republican, who served in three branches of the military.

br br jkaye65 - The media has been doing the sam... (show quote)

So there "Major" sir, tell me, just because the media has been leaking info that should be kept quiet....since 1965 as you claim....does that make it right? We should all be mad when this happens. Having served in three branches of the military...you should know this!

Okay, you got me on the next one. True, Obama did not say he "killed Osama" in the video. I should have phrased my statement differently. Obama has, however, claimed in several other instances "I got Obama". That is what I was referring too. It is just dumb luck that Obama was president when the right intelligence led the way to Osama. It would have happened whether Obama was in office or Bush....or even Sarah Palin. Just like 9-1-1 was going to happen regardless of Bush or Kerry being in office. The planning was underway for both instances well before Bush or Obama were presidents.

No, I was not a newspaper deliverer.

I did question Ole Sarge's military service because just having "Sarge" in a name does not mean he ever served.

I guess that camera-obscura proves that to be a photographer with photos in the Smithsonian you don't need the brain power of a retarded gnat!
