Everyone’s nightmare. I have two external drives for backup and I also save important batches of photos(foreign travel, family events etc.) to SD cards as reasonable quality cards are relatively cheap to buy. However, some people say that you do not have true backup unless you also have storage away from your house in case it burns down!

Hi again, I got very busy last night and did not have an opportunity to pass on the recovery information I promised. So, without further ado... Visit https://www.hddrecovery.ca/ for more information. If you deal with Erkin, mention my name, Peter Curley. It probably won't get you a better deal but it's worth a try.

$500 CAD per hard drive and you only pay if data is recovered.
Normally 2 week turn around but that is Canada to Canada. Not sure about times from US or other countries.
