Just doing some editorial....what do you think?
Boy
I would love to have that model to shoot
She's gorgeous!
Need to shoot her with off camera flash!
Shes cryin for the studio!
Nothing.
The woman may have a certain charm but the posing is rather weird, straight arms, hands limp, one foot turned inside and on the metal beam, other feet just hanging. hiding a metal pole...
Sorry but the posing sucks, no definition in the calve, just a girl waiting for something to happen, maybe your instructions?
Skin tone is orange.
Highlight too strong... Need a good reflector more than a flash, she is likely too close to the background to avoid a parasite shadow.
Also open crotch on any model is of poor taste.
Try again and give her instructions you are in control, not her (unless there is a shooting director and in that case shoot the guy first (for real) and start doing a better job than he was).
although English Wolf my have rough, I do agree. Beautiful lady but not the right pose. would like to see more of her.
*big smiles as she reads English Wolf's critique*
He's aptly named, that's for sure! *snickers*
And imo, he's right.
I think I understand why this pose and why the lighting is the way it is... to highlight the shoe, right!? (You said it was an editorial shoot)
But this is a miss for all the reason EW listed...

I understand what you were going for, but I think you just fell short, the crotch shot kills it (don't worry we've all done it, but once it's pointed out to you, you'll be looking to avoid it from her on out, lol).
The dock is a little crocked, it's tilted ever so slightly.
You've also got some hot sun spots on her arm, hand, foot and leg.
Her face also seems a little dark, which simply could be a result of my eyes being drawn to the brighter hot spots.
If this an editorial shot for Nike, you have some blown hightlights on the shoe itself (the laces and detail on the top of the shoe look blown).
There is also a pole growing out of the side of her head.
I can't comment on w/b or skin tones as I'm not on a calibrated monitor and I simply do not trust this one at all.
It's a good image, focus is good.
This was not an actual ad(I guess you figured that out). This was a personal photo shoot. The girl in the photo is not a real model. We were going for a badass look. I like her pose for the most part. It was the look we wanted.(again for the most part). The comments were helpful and will help make a much better look for next time. Thank you.
