You have provided a beautiful series. Hudsons were great cars and your captures of these beauties are superb. I would have liked to see the Hornet that enthralled me in the 50s, as well as some of the Nash/Hudson models from the late 1950s.

Nice retro series. Liked the 1954 Hudson. I never really understood why the Hudson died. Good cars as I recall them growing up in the 50s.

I thought ford had the rumble seat. I always had to sit back there whenever I visited my grandparents.

Not bad but for me the coolest was a ‘49 Merc chopped and lowered.

Still THE CLASSIC from those days. Many show up at shows here on the coast and everybody drools. This one I saw in Morro Bay on July 2nd of this year in my doctor's parking lot..

Is that a Lincoln, Mercury or something else?

I remember taking my 53 Jet in for repairs in 1964 and seeing a 12 cylinder Hudson that had two distributors (6 each) and a back seat big enough I could fully stretch out. I thought how do you ever get both dizzys to work right? Ni idea what year or model but it was massive.

Sir I believe the auto you saw in 1964 was probably a Packard since Hudson was discontinued in 1954 or 1956
and after much research I found no mention of Hudson ever using a V12, they did use a V8 toward the end of their production.

Looks like a Chopped 1949-1951 Mercury. The only way to tell is look a the dashboard.

Magnificent cars! Well shot! One of my oldest friends, now gone, had a '48 the size of the Enterprise.

You may well be correct. "The clearest memory fades faster than the palest ink" (old chinese proverb).
