I believe the odds on finding an unknown creature of any sort in the US to be slim.
I collected over 40 years before donating my collection to a college.
The closest to 'new' I got was a beetle in 1983 on the C&O Canal.
Last seen in Maryland in 1864.
But you never know, don't stop looking, tho.

Bill you are probably right, but out here, there are virtually endless miles of open land and darn few people. Even on my place, some untouched by humans. You just never know. I will keep looking - thanks for the input!

Really like the "hovering bee" capture in #5! All have lovely color and textures - a morning well spent!
