At times, I think that moving all that white stuff might have been preferable to yard work and lawn mowing when "feels like" temps exceed 110 degrees F !!!

If it would only come down in Florida.

Beautiful pics. Looks so comfortable, peaceful and cozy.
But somewhere deep in the memories lies a warning. Can’t quite put my finger on it just now though!

Thanks to all for the comments. We spent just over 20 years in that home and enjoyed most of that time except for the 2+ weeks when the ice storm took out all power and isolated our community from any supplies coming in due to downed trees and ice blocking all roads. Now all we have to contend with is hurricanes!

No, I'm afraid not. In my early years I applied a lot of Bondo over some screening to make rust repairs, but certainly not good body work! I do most of my own mechanical work, but leave any body work to the professionals.

Where I live schools will close down after a two inch snow.

Nice shots, great memories. Oh the days of winter - I can see you down there in FL yearning for that stuff, but then in the cold blues of winter, FL sounds very enticing. Not so dramatic temperature differences for us up here in the Pacific Northwest - it rarely gets too hot, most of the time in summer we yearn for more heat - luckily the winters are very clement, compared to my last posting in Westchester NY where the winters were quite brutal.

Thanks all for taking a look at what winter usually looked like in the Adirondacks of New York. Did lots of downhill and cross country skiing during the winters, but Summer and Fall were our favorite seasons. We have plenty of lakes and a bit of topography where we live in Florida, but it can't compare with the beauty of those that we enjoyed in our time in the heart of the Adirondack Mountains.

God invented Florida and air conditioning so we wouldn't have to live in that stuff!

great winter shots. to jump from this 95+ heat into that cold snow would be heavenly...for a few minutes anyway.
