The unique sweet tone of Johnny Hodges - "Sunny Side of the Street"
https://youtu.be/_g0091i3q9U

Unfortunately, Annie Ross of Lambert Hendricks & Ross passed on Wed. Not many videos of her. Here she is in a nightclub scene singing "Twisted" and then "Everyday I Have The Blues". Notice who is sitting there in her small "audience" and who is on piano. Joe Williams joins the group. He had the famous hit recording of the tune. Pay particular attention to the sustained note Joe sings towards the end - amazing breath control.

Enjoy, stay well & safe.

One of the great masters of the sax for sure! I like Ace Cannon almost as well.

No! Bavan came after Ross. I saw them both and preferred Annie, but Bavan was fabulous.

My greatest regrets: Never seeing Ella, Bud and LH&R.
