Gambrel roof, hip roof, & gable roof.

I saw this barn from the road several years ago, but it was way back off the road behind the old farmhouse. I stopped by several times to ask if I could photograph it but there was never anyone home, however the dog was barking inside when I knocked & the horses were in the paddock..

I drove by the other day & noticed that the property was for sale & also noticed that the owners had moved out. So I called the real estate company & got permission to photograph the barn. Results below.

I love this series! I put up both loose hay and baled hay in the loft of a similar but smaller barn in the late 50s. Damned hot - but recalled with definite nostalgia!
