yesterday it got down to 26 degrees here, and since my Birdbath is on a continual water drip with the excess running over the edge, this is what i woke up to find.
The second photo was taken this morning and it snowed shortly there after. You can see the haze moving thru the pines. Another cold morning of 31 degrees.

Don't really want to look at it.:) But the ice does look pretty. And the last picture is beautiful. Now is this early for your to be this cold?

I can't say for positive as i simply do not recall, but i think towards the end of the month is generally when we have a hard freeze. We've gotten it early this year, Could be the weather pattern along with the severity of the Drought adding to it.
I know we do have nice days still in store for us, but this cold and snow was really early this year. My friend whom lives in the Mtns said she had 4" compared to my dusting this morning.
I was there in 1969 visiting a guy I was in Nam with.
30 miles south of Denver(Castle Rock) mid Oct,and it had already snowqed 3 times.

Castle rock is to the west of me by 30 miles approx.

I hope you enjoyed your time here.
