I've always been intrigued by the interplay between light and water. The first image is the surface of a pond on a bright sunny afternoon with the colors of fall spread out in all their glory.

The second and third images are just the light playing off the surface of a shallow running stream with light bands focused on a stony bottom. Since the wave forms of the running water are relatively fixed, so are the focused bands of light on the bottom.

The fourth image is just raindrop patterns on a pond with a little help in post processing.

The fifth image is light reflecting off a small fountain. Looks almost like frozen glass.

The sixth and seventh images are geese swimming on a swiftly flowing river against a low morning sun. They look B&W but are really color images. The high shutter speed freezes the moving water and it looks like sheets of steel.

The eighth image was almost magical. It is of a large reflecting pool in downtown Toronto with a bright blue sky and tan buildings with black windows and a green copper roof. When I noticed them, the black strips were rapidly changing due to ripples on the surface but always in sharp focus. I stood there quite a while mesmerized before it occurred to me that I could capture the image.

Breathtaking. The proper superlative escapes me.

Thanks for taking the time to comment and glad you liked the images. The whole point in photography is to produce an image that captures the eye and evokes an emotion. No emotion; no viewer.

Oooh, yes I love these. I find myself, in just about any setting, attracted to reflections or drops.
Thanks for sharing them. I'll have to through my pictures and find some of mine. I have to admit I'm much btter at taking the pictures then organizing
