A couple of years ago, someone posted a photo of a bird in the handle of an old garden tool. I believe they were from the UK, as I believe it was a Blue Tit. Anyway, that photo stuck with me, I thought it was quite cute. And I had an old pitchfork with a similar handle. Fast forward a couple of years, enter Covid, lots of extra time. So I got out my pitchfork, stuck it in the ground, smeared peanut butter on the back side and waited. Eventually a pair of Downies came and cleaned up the peanut butter, from the far side.

So it has just been sitting there, getting older. Then a couple of days ago, a Rat snake was in the bird house on a nearby tree. All the birds went crazy, squawking their alarm calls. I had my camera to get the snake, and a wren lands on my tool. Not what I was hoping for, but better than nothing.

Anyway, Thanks to the original poster for the good idea.

I think it's fabulous and the story leading up to it seals the deal perfectly. Congratulations is due.
