So then you are saying everyone in America is basically stupid because even though almost all governors, the heads of our individual states tell us to wear masks the people in America are ONLY listening to President Trump. Not one American, not even the Liberals across America, are smart enough to wear a mask during this virus epidemic?

I live right in one of Southern California's Liberal strongholds and yet when I go to town I see plenty of people not wearing masks. I guess every one of these people are the ones causing America to have a second rate economy as well as to be spreading the virus across the land. I am guessing that most of these people are of the Liberal mind set. Certainly a great majority of them are. And yet you blame Trump. I guess THOSE Liberals in my neck of the woods are just a bunch of stupid people. Is that what you are saying?

I listened to the radio today and a person who does charting for hospitals across the country said if you come in with a broken leg you are asked if you have ever been in proximity of someone with the Chinese flu, if yes, you are listed as positive with NO test. Doctors/hospitals get paid more for such patients.

This story also confirms that democrats hate America, want to destroy the economy and peoples lives just to gain unlimited power over us and have to LIE to get that unlimited power.

Take a long hard look at the trump ENABLERS in the GOP who allowed our country to decent into chaos by their inability to stop the destruction of our once country by trump. A country which had once been a model for developing nations to base their reconstruction upon.

It was the GOP in the Senate who at the demand of #MoscowMitch who sat on their collective asses and didn't have the COURAGE to oppose #MoscowMitch and vote to find trump guilty of the charges of Abuse of Power and Obstruction of Congress with the lone exception of a single yes vote by Mitt Romney for trump's Abuse of Power charge.

Now those very same GOP Senators have found themselves in a position where they're having to distance themselves from trump as they fight to hold onto their seats in the Senate while their constituents are holding them responsible for their inaction on February 5, 2020.

I call that KARMA!

Trump never said not to wear the masks nor did I - read my note more carefully. What Trump etail has not pushed or mandated wearing masks - here's his comments to Chris Wallace on 7/18: "Seated what appeared to be less than six feet apart, Wallace asked Trump if he regrets not wearing a mask in public earlier than this past weekend. “The CDC says if everyone wore a mask for four-to-six weeks, we could get this under control,” the host said of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has now claimed more than 135,000 American lives. “Will you consider a national mandate that people will need to wear masks?”

“No, I want people to have a certain freedom,” Trump replied. “And I don’t believe in that, no. I don’t believe in the statement that if everyone wore a mask, everything disappears.”

He then went on to say that masks were good.

Where he was inaccurate was in saying this: Hey, Dr. Fauci said don’t wear a mask. Our Surgeon General, terrific guy, said don’t wear a mask,” the president continued, citing months-old guidance that has been updated now that more is known about how the virus spreads. “Everybody was saying don’t wear a mask and all of a sudden everybody’s got to wear a mask.”

Fauci is advocating wearing a mask and the Surgeon General on Meet the Press on 7/12 reversed his position:
"DR. ADAMS: Now, people of America, important to know you should wear a face covering.

MARGARET BRENNAN: And we certainly do--

DR. ADAMS: When out in public."

As usual in this administration, there is confusion between the President and his key advisors.

Actually you seem a bit confused, so let’s summarize for clarity, yes?

You actually agree that Trump never told Americans, or anyone else, to not wear masks. Good.....we agree. I don’t know where you got the idea I said you told people not to wear one, so we’ll move on.

We also agree that Trump said masks are good, and that he would not issue a federal mandate. That’s good since that pesky 10th amendment is a beyotch!

Of course, your wording is wrong in saying Trump was inaccurate on his comments on Fauci and the SG saying don’t wear a mask, as they did, so we disagree there. However, we agree that over time both have changed their stance and, by the way, Trump does wear a mask when social distancing isn’t available.

I think we both agree that as with all large bureaucracies, especially administrations, there is oft some confusion but certainly not to the extent the MM plays it up to be.
