Anyone had any experiences with one of these? Saw a video person using something similar at an event but didn't get a chance to ask about it.

Yes, I have one. Have a a7m3 mounted onit and after I figured out the controls, it does stabilize the picture well.

I ordered some Chinese gimbal from a Facebook ad. They sent me a selfie-stick. Easier to throw it away than try to get a refund...and they were counting on it. Caveat Emptor. and if you don't NEED it, don't buy Chinese.
