Me and a friend of mine photographed Bruce from 1975-1978. Band practices were a lot of fun at the shore. He practiced at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank and at the Paramount in Asbury Park. Bumped into him years later in a bar in Asbury, had a few drinks talking about the old days. Good guy, hard worker. Those practice sessions were all business. A real perfectionist. After the practice sessions it was Kentucky Fried chicken!
Bruce at his very best had to be, at least for me, the 1975 Tour. Still a young and hungry band trying to reach for the American Dream. If his 3rd album didn’t sell that year, Columbia would drop him. Word was getting around about his phenomenal live shows and in 1975 he finally broke through.
Thanks for the beers buddy. 📷🎸

I just knew what video you linked to. And I had to watch it again.
Could it be better? Only if Clarence was there.
got to see him in Denver in Sept. in a snowstorm this was in late 80's early 90's old mile-high Broncos
I agree; he was amazing even when just starting. We saw him around 1973 as an opening act for Chicago. Few in the audience knew him when he walked on stage but they sure as hell knew who he was when he walked off. And yes, Chicago was great but Bruce stole the show.

Yes! First saw him in 1973. We all said who is this guy? Phenomenal artist.
Streets of Philadelphia, haunting
Thanks so much for sharing. I watched Springsteen on Broadway over and over says so much about his music and the man, just like the video you linked!
