Thanks kpmac. I agree about the clouds. Had to take what I was given and I wasn't there at the best time of day either. I like the expanse of the second image. My wife likes the closer view of the shanty.
Hard decision, I like the first best because the larger more detailed old building adds to it. The clouds on the second does add to it but the entire sky on the second to me is a little too blue.
Thinking about printing one of these on large canvas. Any thoughts? Best viewed full screen in download.
Jay I would use the first image and crop above that brown ridge. I would also beef up the contrast. I guess I am with your wife from a visual standpoint.

Total agreement with PixelStan77. The brown line in front is a distraction and the detail is more valuable. Whatever you hear, pick the one YOU like! Bob
Great replies all. I guess my original concept was to show the desolation of settling the wide open Prairie. That said, the closer view of the house/shanty does probably provide more interest.
