Why isn't there a mouse flavored cat food?

Cats are not capable of buying cat food. The owner must buy it. The marketers appeal to the buyer, not the user. Has anyone tasted a mouse? I don't want to know if you have.

And (I assume) it doesn't come in a can.

My neighborhood Kat shops at the Outside Bushes and Trees Cafe and has come back quite often with not only mouse flavors, but lizard, spider, hummingbird and creepy crawly bits too! Why he even brought by some squirrel carcass the Coopers left for him to try. Yes Julius shops at only the finest of markets! Now I just have to get him to like wine and he would be a perfect dinner date for the local Kat ladies.

That's not being cynical. I read a study where the dog food manufactures lined up a bunch of bowls with different contents, to see what a number of dogs liked best. The winner? Rotten fish, by a landslide. I've yet to see it offered to consumers, though.

No - It comes in a box with a long tail with a USB plug on the end or a small USB plug.

Good question, and some of the replies made me chuckle as well. Being allergic to cats, about my only thoughts in that regard... is... how to avoid them

They couldn't find any tasters to do the taste test so that they would know exactly how raw mouse tastes.

Right you are! I worked at Farmland Foods in Monmouth IL for several years in the refrigeration dept. The overwhelming stench of mounds of pig hair was unbearable. And yes it was all shipped to pet food companies. High in protein and fiber, low in fat and pets actually eat it. I surmise the only reason they eat it is because they have no choice, here kitty kitty its this or starve! What I don't like is how the big name brands depict images on their labels of pet foods that look just like people food. Words like choice, tender, flavorful, etc. are only to meant to lure the consumer in. And alas,, it works.
